Scarlett knew it. She just did. She couldn't help but smile. The funny thing was the others didn't even notice Eva was even gone.
Of course, the threesome were still bickering over Tam's and the shagging. Well, Scarlett said her piece first thing.
"Am I going to have to sleep with one of you, to even things out?" She'd said earlier when she was serving them her splendid scramble that no one seemed to be enjoying.
Ed gave her a squint that meant, Maybe later if we don't work this out.
How could these too be smitten by Tammy Lane?
Scarlett gave him a disgusting look and left them to do the dishes. She'd already done more of her share of housework than she had in..ages.
So she was eying what might be available out their in employment land on the laptop. Of course, she got side track looking at some emo shop crap she was certain Eva would love. If only she were here. But she couldn't dare let herself be melancholy about their one off. She bit her bottom lip, thinking it was the best she'd ever had. Who would have thunk it?
Naturally, she was keeping mum about her lovely goodbye with Eva. Maybe it was a last ...um..something. A rare moment, indeed for Eva.
Only, it felt like the start of something. How could Eva go off on her scooter like that to Sydney? Leave it to Eva and freedom.
Just as Scarlett slammed her laptop shut, she looked out the window and saw someone with pink hair flash by. Of course, Scarlett went to investigate.
"What are you doing?" She was possibly a bit cynical but maybe Sydney wasn't the answer to anything. She looked a little down.
Scarlett put her arm around Eva's shoulder to guide her back to Luke's house, which took to be her own by taking his brother's room. Of course, Eva was in no mood to talk.
"Don't be sad." Scarlett puckered her bottom lip. "You know, you miss me."
"But I don't want too." Her wince looked so defeated as she gazed into Scarlett's dark eyes.
"It was fun? Wasn't it? You and me? No male drama." Scarlett sighed as if she'd decided even if Eva hadn't. "I want to be with you. I can't think of anything more refreshing."
Eva looked away.
"What do we have to lose?" Scarlett bit a grin.
Eva was reluctant to look back at Scarlett's fabulous smile.
"Lets find Ed a boyfriend." Scarlett giggled just as she kissed Eva's cheek. Scarlett was definitely happy that Eva wasn't off on her own in Sydney. Scarlett wouldn't want to admit it, but she'd be worried sick.
